U-T San Diego seeks a Programmer/Analyst III to join our Interactive Team. This position is responsible for developing, interfacing and supporting all digital technologies while providing technical solutions to parallel business strategies. Candidates will direct the design, development, and implementation of solutions to complex technical problems to provide efficient production systems in support of core organizational functions and production processes. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years web application development experience to include a minimum of 3 years experience in Python and Django or other python web frameworks. Candidate must have experience creating web applications that can handle large traffic bursts, unit testing, Postgres, HTML and CSS. Experience with Distributed systems such as Celery a plus. Experience with JS, solr and redis is a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is a plus. Candidate must be a strong team player.
