About Us:

Long Island Media is seeking a part-time Django developer to join our team, with the potential of a full-time position down the road for the right person. The ideal candidate will be reliable with solid communication skills while being able to independently complete assigned tasks. You will be responsible for both creating new applications and modifying existing ones.

Experience and proficiency required with:

• Django framework development
• HTML
• CSS
• Javascript
• PostgreSQL
• Version control systems
• Available partially during US EST work hours

Bonus points for any experience with:

• Django app performance optimization
• jQuery
• Responsive web design
• Ubuntu server administration
• Commonly used Django project apps/middleware such as Haystack, Celery, etc
• SEO best practices
