**Seeking Web Developer** Description: --- Seeking web programmer with experience in Django, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Work will be contract for hire. During the contract period, the developer will develop and implement a web application that drives our cloud computing products. If the project is successful, the developer will be hired for full-time to spearhead the on-going development of new features and product concepts. Developer must have a proven track record of shipping web applications. Should be able to drive products from concept to implementation, and should have experience with taking mockups from concept to implementation. We are looking for a U.S.-based (preferably West Coast) developer with strong web development skills interested in working on a web application designed to make the energy use of buildings more transparent. The Building Technology and Urban Systems (BTUS) Department at Berkeley Lab develops technologies and tools to reduce the energy use and environmental impact of buildings. BTUS develops many software tools to help collect, manage, analyze and publish data about energy use in buildings, to support energy efficiency policies and programs. One such project is the Standard Energy Efficiency Data Platform™ (SEED), which is an open-source web application that helps organizations easily manage data on the energy performance of large groups of buildings.
