ConsejoSano is hiring a CTO to lead its technical development and help set the overall strategy for the company during a period of rapid growth. Our Spanish-language telemedicine service is unique in the country, and it gives us the opportunity to build an extremely successful business while providing a critically important service to underserved communities. We have brought together an incredible team of people from across the Americas to help us scale to serve millions of people over the next few years. Come join us, and be a recognized leader for a company that is redefining healthcare in the US!
We're ConsejoSano, a healthtech company that's scaling up the premier telemedicine service for Spanish speakers in the US. We are expanding the industry to better serve marginalized communities, which gives us the opportunity to generate tremendous social impact and financial returns. Currently, healthcare in the US is delivered almost entirely by non-Spanish speakers, making it extremely difficult to navigate, let alone effectively use, for non-English speakers. We use telemedicine to connect users to native Spanish-speaking doctors - a revolutionary change that helps people who have almost no other options to get the care that they need. Our service changes the lives of our users and their families in a profound way, and we're proud to work on such a project.
There has never been a service like this before in the US, and we're offering it a time when the country's demographic transition is forcing every part of the healthcare system to react. We have a first-mover advantage that has excited major clients and partners, and now we are racing to expand our technical capabilities in order to deliver on these early contracts.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to step into a leadership role at a company that is entering its first major growth phase and that has the potential to be the industry leader with global scalability. Our team is exceptional, bringing together top people from across the Americas who want the opportunity to make healthcare more helpful and relevant to billions of people. We work hard together, but take every chance to celebrate the fun and creativity that are born out of our cross-cultural heritage. We want you to be part of it!
ConsejoSano is at a key point in our technical evolution. We're looking to transition from using a contracted, remote team to bringing full ownership of our tech stack to an in-house engineering team. We're looking for someone to lead that team and manage the development and rollout of our B2B service for large clients (corporations, hospitals, and insurers) that are buying group memberships for their covered populations. Our core telemedicine service is already fully established, and we are beginning to build out the supplemental features that will create an exceptional overall experience for group account managers and end-users. The CTO will oversee all elements of technical development, with direct ownership of system architecture and oversight and participation on the team responsible for front-end, back-end, and mobile development.
We're looking for someone who has a vision for the smartest way to build a service that we expect to be offering to millions of people within 2 years. We need someone who has the hard skills and management IQ to lead and participate in all elements of technical development, and who can articulate that strategy and join the executive team as a partner in setting our overall priorities and direction.
The first major task for our CTO will be to assess this technical infrastructure and determine whether it's sufficiently robust to support our ambitions. You will be given broad latitude to make decisions about what can be preserved and what should be rebuilt, as well as which technologies to use for such projects. You'll be tasked with implementing new testing and continuous integration systems to manage our development workflow, and you'll be given ownership of engineering hiring as we expand our team in the months to come. For these reasons, we're looking for someone with several years of front-end and back-end experience who's ready to make architecture and growth decisions that will support our mission for years to come.
Diversity is a key part of our company, and one that we celebrate. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates, especially those with existing connections to Hispanic culture, are encouraged to apply. Regular travel to Mexico City and San Francisco will be expected. If the candidate is not already located in San Francisco or Mexico City, they may be expected to relocate there eventually. ConsejoSano is willing to sponsor candidates without US work visas.
