Python Web Developer at Simon Solutions, Inc.

We are looking for Python developers who are able to develop new custom web applications as well as work on improvements and customizations to existing web applications. You should be able to assist with various aspects of each project including: analysis of project requirements, drafting of project specifications and development strategies, writing and testing application code, application deployment and code maintenance. Projects will be executed using Agile development methods and small teams comprised of programmers and designers with a range of skill and experience levels.

We are looking for people who:

• have 2-3 years experience developing dynamic websites or web applications
• have strong teamwork and communication skills
• are able to complete tasks efficiently both alone and with team members
• have experience with Python, Javascript & JSON, HTML and CSS
• are comfortable working in Bash shell (or Zsh, etc) environment
• are familiar with Linux server configuration and administration
• are familiar with relational database platforms such as MySQL, etc.
• are familiar with source control, especially Git

Bonus points for people who:

• have experience with the Django web application framework
• are familiar with Apache configuration and administration
• are familiar with MySQL configuration and administration
• are familiar with AWS EC2 hosting environment
• are familiar with jQuery and Bootstrap 2/3

Compensation

Our full-time employees receive an hourly rate plus completion bonuses, paid vacation and holidays, and medical and dental coverage.
