Responsibilities

BreakingNews.com is looking for an experienced full-stack engineer with particular expertise in Python, Django, and JavaScript. A successful candidate will have strong design senses and development principles, and have a desire to make new and unique tools, products, and user experiences.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 3-5 years development experience
• Python and Django development
• JavaScript, Node.js, jQuery, Backbone, Underscore, event handling
• HTML, CSS
• Building and using RESTful APIs
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Desired Characteristics

• Rapid prototyping of designs and features
• History of high quality production web apps
• Knowledge of web standards and cross-browser compatibility
