Description/Opportunity

We are looking for an outstanding full-stack (or backend) developer with 3+ years of Python/Django experience to partner with our team in the development of several initiatives. Ideally, this person would begin immediately as a full-time employee in Philadelphia, but we are open to contract work (12+ months).

We are at an exciting inflection point in the global real estate industry, and technology is at the heart of this rapidly changing landscape. Led by one of the top executives in our company, our small, fast-paced team is looking for a senior developer to help bridge the gap between commercial real estate and the digital world. While the first priority will be bringing an existing project to completion, the position has the potential to expand over time.

We have developed an internally facing tool that leverages several spatially enabled datasets to analyze potential real estate opportunities in US markets. We plan to build on the tool’s capabilities over the coming months and will rely on your expertise to 1) create additional analytical capabilities/reports, 2) expand globally, 3) add a mobile solution (backend) and 4) improve scalability/CDN.

Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience level.

Minimum Requirements (3+ years)

• Python/Django, including South, Celery, and Tastypie
• Postgresql/Postgis
• Git/Github
• Linux/Unix servers and command line

Major Pluses

• Front end familiarity with Javascript (jQuery/Backbone) and HTML5/CSS 3 (Sass)
• Chef (infrastructure management)
• AWS (EC2/S3)
• iOS UI development
