The role
We're looking to hire a Software Developer to join the team as we invest heavily into new products and services within our digital platform. You will join and contribute to a highly effective development team who will deliver our ambitious roadmap plans to realise our business goals. Working with the CTO you will deliver exciting new platforms and services that will increase our capabilities and create exceptional experiences for members and clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding, communicating and delivering the principles of good software design and development
- Hands-on developer delivering code, troubleshooting & code debugging
- Delivering software features and improvements needed to achieve our business goals
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimisation of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements
- Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application
- Innovation in our technical delivery and product features
- Identifying and adapting the technical infrastructure to adopt new and best practice technologies
- Improving and optimising the performance and security of existing systems
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in software programming
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Working in an agile development environment (i.e. SCRUM, Kanban)
- Languages / Frameworks - pref. Python (Django), PHP (Symfony)
- Sysadmin basics - linux, postgres, nginx - be able to support a small production website
- Salesforce integration experience a plus
- Pref small business or startup experience a plus
- Experience in machine learning and personalisation are desirable although not required
