Hansell Tierney is looking for a smart software engineer with full stack experience who is eager to build and deliver awesome web products. Our client is a Seattle startup that is building a consumer-focused, health-oriented online website and mobile application (a patent application has been filed). Current user testing is underway and wrapping up at the end of November. This is an FTE position with benefits and market rate salary. If you are familiar with the Python/Django stack but not necessarily a pure Python Developer, I have another opportunity you might be interested in in Seattle.

Stack includes: Django, Python, jQuery, nginx, PostgreSQL

Tools include: PyCharm, Sublime, LeanKit

Type of engineering work: Simple easy-to-use, lightweight UI with the bulk of development work and engineering projects focused on behind the scenes developing ranking algorithms, screen scraping, machine learning, natural language processing, data analysis, and cataloging. API integration with third party data sources, payment processors, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms Programming experience in one or more of C/C++,
• Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C#, Java
• Passionate about learning web technologies
• Experience with modern engineering techniques like tdd, bdd, orm, git, and ci
